As a prelude to the main event of the Tsechu celebration, an annual cleansing ritual commenced at Samdrup Jongkhar Primary School's football ground. Headed by the esteemed Lam Neten, leaders of various offices, Mask Dancers, monks, and sector heads actively participated in this ceremonious occasion. Notably, wildlife could be seen on the sides of the road, ushering the procession to the event grounds and giving active attendance.
The ceremony included a meticulous cleaning ritual followed by a Kuru tournament and folk dance performances, curated to entertain and honor the distinguished guests. The event was further enhanced by the delectable cuisine graciously sponsored by the religious patrons of the Samdrup Jongkhar Business community, contributing to the overall festive atmosphere.
