The Integrated Tourism Action Plan was launched today during the 6th session of the Dzongkhag Tshogdu of the Third Local Government, coinciding with the auspicious Zakar.
The action plan was inaugurated with prayers for successful implementation by the Lam Neten of the Dzongkhag Rabdey, alongside Dasho Thrompoen, Dzongrab, and DT Thrizin.
The Action Plan, developed by the Dzongkhag and Thromde Administration in consultation with private tour operators and based on proposals from the Gewogs, aims to increase tourist arrivals by 20% and extend their stay by an additional three days and nights in Samdrup Jongkhar.
