Today, the Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag including Drungkhags, Gewogs and Offices, coordinated a cleaning campaign and awareness program to mark the Annual International Day of Zero Waste.
The event was marked with a theme: "Youth for Zero Waste." Youth are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our country. The day highlights the importance of raising awareness and encouraging action on important global issues around waste management and promoting sustainable consumption and production.
