Dzongdag graced the zero waste Bhutan app awareness program at the DT hall. She highlighted that it is everyone's responsibility to be responsible for their own waste. She said the app is one of the means to inculcate this sense in people.
Then, the environment officer created awareness and demonstrated the use of the zero waste Bhutan app to the participants present. There, a few participants actively raised some issues with the app. They said getting the CID number of the offenders will be challenging.
The National Environment Commission created the app with the following objectives:
To record, track and penalize the offenders
As a community Policing with the engagement of public
To disseminate waste-related information
.
