Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) held a coordination meeting with the Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag Administration on October 31, 2025, to discuss the progress of the Second Baseline Data Collection for the 404 MW Nyera Amari Integrated Hydropower Project. The meeting was part of the project’s ongoing efforts to update the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) under the Asian Development Bank’s Project Readiness Financing.

The DGPC team, along with consultants from SMEC International Pty, Australia, and Phuensum Consultancy Services (PCS), Bhutan, shared key updates from the field consultations across gewogs and stakeholder groups. The Dzongkhag’s valuable feedback will help strengthen the project’s environmental and social management strategies and ensure that community voices are well reflected in the upcoming Resettlement Action Plan
