Message From the Dzongdag

I extend a warm welcome to all visitors of the Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag website. As the gateway and commercial hub for five eastern Dzongkhags, Samdrup Jongkhar holds great potential for agricultural and economic development, despite challenges posed by its geographical setting and security concerns. With significant achievements in forest cover, access to clean water, electricity, roads, and telecommunication, we continue to make strides in improving the socio-economic well-being of our people. Guided by the principles of Good Governance and GNH, the Dzongkhag Administration remains committed to transparency, accountability, and service excellence. We hope this platform serves as a valuable source of information and a bridge between the administration and the public.

Tashi Wangmo, Dzongdag
