Today, the Dzongkhag Administration successfully conducted a 2nd consultative meeting with Agriculture Extension Officers to finalize the SAMJONG Product Development & Packaging Guideline—a major step toward standardizing and scaling our 16 SAMJONG-branded products.

The session was graced by Dasho Dzongdag, who highlighted the importance of branding, market access, and packaging in enhancing the value of local products. Dasho commended the Agriculture Extension Officers for their pioneering role in developing the SAMJONG brand during the CARLEP project, and reaffirmed the importance of their continued leadership in rural enterprise development.

This initiative is generously supported by the Bhutan Foundation, whose continued commitment to local entrepreneurship and value chain strengthening is deeply appreciated.

The day also saw the development of product-specific packaging data—led by the AEOs—for the 16 SAMJONG products, ensuring that future branding and design efforts remain rooted in community knowledge and practical needs.
