Women in Langchenphu Gewog participated in a gender equality workshop held at the Gewog GT Hall. The workshop, aimed at promoting awareness and empowering women, was conducted in a locally understandable format by the Procurement Officer.
The session covered key aspects of gender equality, including rights, opportunities, and challenges faced by women. Participants actively engaged in discussions, sharing their views and concerns. Additionally, an enabling session was coordinated to seek solutions directly from the women, ensuring their voices were heard in the decision-making process.
The workshop was funded by the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy (BCMD), reflecting its commitment to fostering gender-inclusive development in local communities.
