The Dzongkhag Disaster Management Contingency Plan 2024 was officially launched today, during the 6th session of the Dzongkhag Tshogdu of the Third Local Government.
The plan, which aims to efficiently and effectively mitigate and manage disasters within the Dzongkhag, was inaugurated by Dasho Thrompoen, alongside the Drungpas of Samdrup Choling and Jomotsangkha, and the DT Chairperson.
The Contingency Plan was meticulously prepared and updated through close consultation with relevant offices across the Dzongkhag, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to disaster management.
This plan will serve as a crucial tool in safeguarding the lives and properties of the people in Samdrup Jongkhar.
