Inauguration of Day Feeding Program for Rikhey PS, Dewathang Gewog, Jangsa PS under Langchenphu Gewog, Pemathang LSS under Pemathang Gewog was graced by Dasho Tharchin Lhendup, Dzongdag at Rikhey PS, Dasho Lamdra Wangdi at Jangsa PS and Dasho Lobzang Dorji at Pemathang LSS on 31st July, 2019. A total of 380 students (94 students at Rikhey PS, 21 students at Jangsa PS and 265 students at Pemathang LSS) will benefit from new Day Feeding Program which actually commence from 1st August, 2019. Gup, OC, Tsampa, mangmey, Gewog Adm officers, Tshogpas, and parents of each respective school participated for the program. DEOs, Principals, teachers, and staff coordinated the program. Gups, and Parents conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Royal Government of Bhutan, and Ministry of Education for blessing their children with Day Meal (breakfast and lunch). With such program, it will help in improving health through nutrious food and balance diet, improve academic performance, and reduce absenteeism. We would like to express our sincere appreciation, gratitude and respect to RGoB, MoE and SHND for great blessings with Day Meals.
